Common Crane Anti-tilting device

Performed with a flexible wire rope luffing  jib crane   , when faced with handling such situations , it will produce the boom backward force . Resulting boom exceeds the minimum amplitude backward crane accident occurred . Therefore, this type of crane installation Anti-tilting devices. Boom backward mainly caused by the following types :

1 , with the lifting slings, rigging or hoisting wire rope defects in the process of lifting a sudden rupture ; makes heavy fall ; or because rigger help hang properly, the process of lifting heavy objects scattered . These conditions can form suddenly unloaded , causing the boom bounce backward accidents.

2, due to failure of lifting height limiter , over winding farm accidents , resulting in wire breakage ; or directly on the boom is generated traction , resulting boom after dumping incidents.

3 , luffing mechanism out of control , while luffing limit switch failure , resulting in a luffing jib backward during an accident .

4, due to hurricane impact in the process of lifting crane backward causing accidents.

In order to prevent similar accidents in the country crane safety regulations in the clear requirements of mobile  gantry crane  and tower cranes moving wall should be installed on Anti-tilting device ( except hydraulic luffing crane ) .

Currently used anti- tilt device after most had two parts. First, by installing the hinge point on the jib luffing limit switches near luffing position . Sometimes boom driven via a linkage indicator amplitude and amplitude disc set position switch for limit . Then through a mechanical stopper means for the crane . Insurance rope and bumper are two commonly used anti- reclining device . Good safety rope has been calculated using the length and strength of the rope , one end fixed on the turntable , and the other end fixed to the jib , through the rope length , defining the inclination of the crane .

The Anti-tilting device shortcomings can not play the role of cushioning and shock absorption , shock and vibration bigger. To mitigate vibration and shock often used bumpers . The working principle of the bumper , the bumper is hinged at the upper end of the boom ,bridge gantry crane the lower end pivotally attached to the turntable ; bumper is a telescopic mechanism , with the bow and the tilt telescopic jib ; in the buffer spring is installed in the sleeve the boom a buffer , shock absorption and limit the role . Bumper also used hydraulic oil and gas combined way, this way of shock absorption, cushioning properties better than spring .
